Jill Bales – Cedaredge, Colorado … There is new light that shines in Cedaredge, Colorado, at the local Seventh-day Adventist church. The Cedaredge Church’s once-called “fellowship hall” has been renamed the “Lighthouse Fellowship Hall” and is ready to serve and reach members of the community.

“All our members decided to find a way to reach people in our community and share Christ with them. So, we transformed our fellowship hall into a multi-purpose modern space dedicated entirely to connecting with the community. We wanted to create an environment where the Cedaredge community can come and feel comfortable, supported, and at home as they step foot through the doors,” remarked Jill Bales, Cedaredge Church member.

Renovations to the fellowship hall included a new full kitchen and a flexible sitting area that will host dinners and presentations with a new sound system and television. Leonardo Balaguer, lead pastor of the Montrose District in western Colorado, has already been hosting specialized programs that offer insight into the Bible.

“Our prayers as a body of believers is that the Lighthouse will stand true to its name—shining the light of Christ across our community,” reflected Bales. “The Bible reminds us that a city on a hill cannot be hidden, and here in Cedaredge, a familiar beacon has renewed to shine bright for God!”
