“If there is one work more important than another, it is that of getting our publications before the public, thus leading them to search the Scriptures,” (Testimonies for the Church, vol. 4, pg. 390).
Our student literature evangelism program is currently the only program of its kind in the North American Division. Under the direction of Joe Martin, it has been saturating the Rocky Mountain Conference with books, magazines, visits from students and prayer more than 20 years.
Each year, approximately 50 student evangelists sell in excess of $200,000 worth of truth-filled books and give away more than 80,000 Steps to Christ. You can do the math as to how many books have been scattered “like leaves of autumn” across our conference during the program’s existence.
In 2011, financial support for the literature evangelism program was withdrawn when the conference had to reduce its budget to bring it in line with available resources. Within a year, the conference was able to reestablish a portion of its support and the donations and contributions of many faithful members from acrossthe nation, including former students, parents, grandparents and other members, continue to carry this ministry forward. God has His hand on this work.
