January 24, 2026 – 7:00PM | Campion Academy Gymnasium – Loveland, CO
Campion Academy’s Drama department is putting the finishing touches on its highly anticipated production of The Music Man, set to take the stage on January 24.
The Music Man is a family-friendly, six-time Tony-Award winning musical comedy. Music Theatre International describes the plot: “The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall.”
Campion’s production stars senior Marc W. as the charismatic Harold Hill and senior Lilly R. as Marian Paroo, alongside a talented student cast under the direction of Erin Johnson. The performance will be further enhanced by live accompaniment from the Campion Academy Symphony.
In addition to the performances onstage, the production showcases student creativity behind the scenes. All scenic backdrops have been designed and created by students in Campion’s set design class.
Please note that there will be no livestream or video recording of the performance. This is a one-night opportunity to experience students’ talents and efforts on display through the music, humor, and heart of The Music Man live.
Presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com
