Worshippers were joined by Elia King, a singer-songwriter, guitarist who led music in a worship setting for over two decades at events around the world. He is currently the music worship leader at the Boulder Seventh-day Adventist church. Joining Elia, was our own Michael Taylor, a gifted musician in his own right. A special Winterfest 2015 feature was a Christian down-home concert by New Horizons, a bluegrass and country gospel group from the mountains of southern Colorado. They made it impossible not to tap one’s toe to the uplifting melodies.
Saturday evening promised great giveaways such as free lift tickets, RMC Youth T-shirts, several opportunities for a free week at summer camp and more. For those who stayed on to ski and snowboard at Copper Mountain, the fun continued as they thrived on the slopes. Participants in the Winterfest activities concluded that “good food, great music, heartfelt lessons and wonderful fellowship with new and old friends,” rounded out another successful Winterfest experience.
