Vista Ridge Academy selects new principal » Vista Ridge Academy, in Erie, Colo., has asked Deborah Trevino to be the new principal. Deborah replaces Carol Schneider who accepted a call to be a principal in Joshua, Texas.
Deborah comes, most recently, from Highland View Academy in Maryland, where she served as principal. She has completed a Master’s in Organizational Leadership, and is currently completing her doctorate. Deborah’s husband, Mario, owns his own business, and they have a son who attends Southern Adventist University in Tennessee.
We welcome Deborah to our outstanding educational team here in the Rocky Mountain Conference, and invite your prayers as she begins her ministry here.
Littleton Church celebrates 50 years » I received the following information in a note from the Littleton Church regarding their plans to celebrate a great milestone.
It is the 50th anniversary of God leading the Littleton Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 7400 S. Windermere Street in Littleton, Colo.
The celebration weekend is Sept. 14–15. Special programming begins Friday at 7:00 p.m., and continues all day on Sabbath. The church service will begin at 10:00 a.m. There will be a fellowship dinner following the worship service, and the day ends with vespers and a light supper and fellowship. It will be a perfect time to visit with friends and former pastors.
God has led the Littleton Church for 50 years. As we focus on the future to glorify His name in the Littleton Community, we hope to see our Savior soon, coming in the clouds, to take us to our heavenly home for the most wonderful reunion of all. Oh, what a day that will be!
Everyone is invited to come and celebrate with the Littleton Church family.

Adventist Community Services Community L.I.F.T. outreach asks for help » The ACS Community L.I.F.T. outreach, which serves the Greater Denver area, requests help to restock its pantry. Here is the note they sent out:
Can you help ACS Community L.I.F.T.? Right now, our pantry is very low on food for our clients. We can't turn anyone away. But, we have very little food to offer. We need pre-packaged and canned food, vegetables and fruit, cereal, macaroni and cheese, pasta and sauce, beans, etc. If you are grocery shopping, why not pick up a few extra items and drop them off? Every bit helps! If you can't bring by food items, please go online and make a donation, so we can buy additional food for our clients.
Please help if you can! Call us at 303-935-7389, or drop off your items at our Center. We are located at 5045 West First Avenue in Denver.

As you read this, Sabbath will soon follow. What a precious gift the Sabbath rest is to us. May the Lord bless each one as we commune with our Savior during these blessed hours.
