|Floods ravage Colorado communities » As all of you have been made aware by news reports, the torrential rain some have experienced this week has caused massive flooding in and around Boulder. Interstate 70 has closed as well as I-25 from E-470 to the Wyoming border, among other closures.
We need to pray for our communities and their leaders as they grapple with the calamities that have and are taking place within our Conference territory. Cathy Kissner, Rocky Mountain Adventist Community Services and Disaster Response director, reports that emergency supplies are being positioned near the Colorado flood areas for distribution. You may donate toward relief efforts at www.communityservices.org, or by calling 800-381-7171. Read more about the flooding and the needs that exist in a report from Michael Bright, director of ACS Community Lift in Denver.
We encourage all members affected by the flooding to reach out to your Church for encouragement and support needed.
The Boulder and Campion churches in Colorado will not hold services tomorrow. However, the Campion Church will be open at 11:00 a.m. on Sabbath for those who can safely arrive, and there is a special prayer time planned for those in the community impacted by the flooding.

On the road » This week I traveled to Altamonte Springs, Fla., for the Adventist Health System Board, which meets twice a year. It is always a thrill for me to see how the Lord is blessing the ministry in all our hospitals!
Just so you know, our hospitals here in the Denver area represent one of the best regions in the AHS network of hospitals. As reported, it is also a region that truly is focused on mission. Thanks for the great leadership Dennis Barts, CEO at Avista Adventist Hospital, Todd Folkenberg, CEO at Castle Rock Adventist Hospital; Randy Haffner, CEO at Porter Adventist Hospital; Morre Dean, CEO at Parker Adventist Hospital; and Brett Spenst, CEO at Littleton Adventist Hospital! You and your hospitals remain in our prayers!
This Sabbath, due to a last-minute schedule change, Diane and I actually are going to be able to enjoy worshiping with our home church here in Franktown, Colo. The Franktown Church is one of three districts in a search process for a new pastor. The Boulder Church, and the Glenwood Springs/Rifle churches also are searching for a pastor in collaboration with Conference leaders. Please pray with these church families that the Lord will send them just who they need as they move forward in ministry for our Savior.
