Two RMC pastors accept calls » The Rocky Mountain Conference is sad to say goodbye to two of our pastors!
Pastor Chris Evenson, who has pastored the Aspen Park and Franktown (Colo.) churches for the past three years, has accepted a call to a church in the Idaho Conference. We are grateful for the spiritual leadership Pastor Chris has provided, and for the valuable contributions made by his wife, Lisa, as well. We will miss the vitality of Pastor Chris's young family!
Pastor David Martinez, who has pastored the Aurora (Colo.) church for the past four years, has accepted a call to serve as chaplain at the new Castle Rock Adventist Hospital in Castle Rock, Colo. The hospital is slated to open Aug. 1. Thank you, Pastor David and Kathy, for your dedicated service in the Rocky Mountain Conference. We're glad you're staying in the area!
Both of these pastors' contributions will be greatly missed by the Rocky Mountain Conference. They have blessed—and will continue to bless—many. We wish them the very best as they continue their ministry journeys with the Lord.

On the road » This past Sabbath, Diane and I had the privilege of worshipping with lay pastor Milton Quezada and his church family at the Centro Cristiano de la Cumunidad Adventist Church. Milton has a popular radio program, which broadcasts to the Latino community.
As a result of the broadcast, nearly 90 percent of those attending come directly from the community. The congregation currently worships in the gymnasium on the Arvada Church campus.
This coming Sabbath will be a high sabbath for the N.E. Colorado churches. They will join together for a district-wide convocation in Ft. Morgan, Colo. Diane and I look forward to worshiping with the Yuma, Sterling, Burlington, Akron, and Ft. Morgan churches.
Happy Sabbath to all!
Elder Gary Thurber
Rocky Mountain Conference president
