|Jessica Beans accepts call to Kettering College » Jessica Beans, associate youth director for the Rocky Mountain Conference, has accepted a call to be the director of public relations and marketing for Kettering College near Dayton, Ohio. She will officially transition on June 1st.
"Jessica has been a huge blessing to the youth of RMC," shares Steve Hamilton, RMC youth director. "She brought energy, excitement, and excellence to our program. And she leaves behind a huge gaping hole that will be hard to fill."
During her time in the RMC, Jessica has been instrumental in streamlining the complex processes of the youth department. She has also actively worked to connect our youth from around the conference. She adopted tools like Facebook, websites, and e-newsletters to help young people in the RMC stay connected with each other and with the conference.
"Our youth department is second to none," says Ed Barnett, RMC president. "Jessica is a big part of what makes this team so special. We will miss her very much!"
GC Vice President to speak at Boulder SDA Church » Elder Ben Schoun, general vice president for the General Conference, will be preaching at the Boulder Seventh-day Adventist Church next weekend, May 24, at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. He will speak about the Samaritan woman at the well, recorded in John 4, as part of a continuing series through the Gospels in chronological order.
Dr. Schoun was elected general vice president during the last General Conference session in Atlanta in 2010. Prior to that, he served as director for Adventist World Radio. He also previously served as president for the Atlantic Union and the Northern New England Conference. He also taught for 13 years at the Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University.
All are invited to attend these meetings.
