Campion students bless Belize » They mixed mortar, cut and laid blocks, wrestled with rebar and poured concrete. They painted two buildings and held a Vacation Bible School for the children of San Pedro and dozens of children who rode the bus to the VBS site.
This group of 58, made up of 34 students from Campion Academy, along with a mixture of people of all ages and walks of life, blessed the country of Belize for the 11th year and made a big impact on Belize Adventist Junior College.
Under the leadership of Bill Hay, they attacked three major work projects: continued work on the library where they lifted hundreds of cement blocks to the second story; erection of a storage/garage building which was completed to the roof installation stage between Sunday and Friday; and the painting of two buildings -- the big Spanish campus church and San Pedro’s Community Center, the focal point of San Pedro. This was where the VBS was held nightly and next door to land donated by townspeople for the new San Pedro Adventist Church.
They handed out 3,000 Steps to Christ and held the 9th annual Great Shoe Giveaway for the local people of San Pedro. More than 60 new girls’ dresses and a dozen boys’ shirts made by Judy Olson were given to San Pedro’s poor. [more]

Alamosa Seventh-day Adventist Church hosted the Donations Management training class for disaster response March 22. The training event resulted in ten individuals trained to assist in a disaster. Kissner appeals for volunteers to to step in and engage with disaster relief.
“You may not [have to] be trained [to be put to work], but it is helpful if you are,” she says. Watch for announcements for training in different areas of the state. Or contact Cathy Kissner at email@example.com.

Sad News » Larry Bentley, husband of La Vida Mission director Dolores Bentley, died February 20, 2015. He came to the mission work from the business world in 2011, a week after he and Dolores married.
He loved the growth opportunities and unending challenges of mission work and was a valuable support toward accomplishing many mission projects. His ability to find good deals saved the mission many dollars. Diagnosed with cancer ten months ago, Larry grew even stronger in his faith and his service to God. He, along with his family and co-workers look forward to meeting again on that great day when Jesus comes again.
