Café Chocolate was a sweet success » On Sunday, March 30th, women from the Lakewood Adventist Fellowship gathered for a time of fellowship, friendship and chocolate. Café Chocolat was a day of sharing and Christian growth, along with the comfort of hot chocolate and other chocolate treats. Following are excerpts from a report by Melaina Garcia:
"I am so glad I got the chance to not only participate in Café Chocolat, but was also one of the leaders. Each lesson focused on God's Grace for us—with chocolate as the object lesson.
"The section that I presented was about grace for your enemies. We tasted bitter cocoa powder, and learned how amazing Jesus' love is for each and every one of us. I enjoyed each of the ladies as they showed their personality through their lessons.
"My favorite part was the simple fact that we laughed, cried, and shared embarrassing memories. There were so many 'WOW' moments. And that is our goal for Garden Getaway, which will be next spring’s retreat. I pray that we will make many memories and have a beautiful outcome!"
