Fifty couples attended, including approximately 15 couples from the community. As a result of the seminar, five new small groups were started based on the “Love and Respect” marriage curriculum. Many from the community have joined the six-week groups.
Pastor Bruce Aalborg reports that on May 28 eighteen enthusiastic workers from the Littleton SDA Church ventured to the edge of the Navajo Indian Reservation in Waterflow, New Mex. For five days, they helped prepare a building to serve as a school for Navajo children this fall. “We worked, we worshiped, we brought encouragement while being blessed ourselves,” were the sentiments of our group. “There is much to do, and we plan to return again to help make this building presentable for teaching the love of Jesus. We have made new friends and desire their ministry success.”
