Mitch Williams ordained » Pastor Mitch Williams ordination service was held on Sabbath, June 30. The beautiful service was a blessing to all who attended. Pastor Mitch's father, Dr. Mitchell L. Williams, a pastor in California, and Dr. Joe Kidder, a professor at the Andrews University Seminary, gave the main addresses for the service. Pastor Dave Kennedy, from the Newday Christian Church in Parker, Colo., introduced Pastor Mitch, and Lee Lee Dart introduced Pastor Mitch’s wife, Lena Williams, along with the couple's family. The Lord has truly led in Pastor Mitch’s life in a remarkable way in bringing him in to the gospel ministry.

Correction to previous Nuggets post » Last week, I mentioned that Pastor Joel Kratzke was leaving to join Amazing Discoveries to be a full-time evangelist. I mentioned the wrong name for one of the churches he has pastored here, however. I should have said the Twin Peaks and Vista churches. I am thankful I can blame this on my continued recovery from surgery!

On the road » This weekend, my wife, Diane, and I headed to our home church in Franktown. We are not often able to attend, but this was a special homecoming and visitors Sabbath, and the church did much planning and preparation for the guests.
It is amazing we are already in the second half of 2012. I can hardly believe how time flies by. I have just finished reading a book by Randy Roberts titled Waiting and Longing. It is a book about the second coming of Christ and what it means for God’s people to wait and watch for His return. He had some wonderful insights into this subject, which blessed me very much.
Have a great week!
