Vista Ridge Academy Welcomes Parents of New Students »
Parents of new students attended a welcome breakfast on Thursday, September 8. Sandy Hodgson, principal and 5th and 6th grade teacher, welcomed parents to Vista Ridge Academy. “We are proud that we are a small school. Our students have a hard time falling between the cracks,” Hodgson said.
Many parents have chosen Vista Ridge Academy because of the small classroom environment. Kelly Meyer has two daughters attending Vista Ridge Academy this year. “We love the school! It’s early on, but we have seen such a positive improvement, both academically and socially, in our girls,” Meyer said.
During the breakfast, parents also had the opportunity to meet constituent church pastors, school board members and staff. “It was nice to meet new people. It is nice to know that you are not alone braving these new waters by yourself, and that there are other people who are just trying to figure it out like us,” Meyer added.
For the 2017-2018 school year, Vista Ridge Academy has seen a 25 percent increase in enrollment. The school is located in Erie, Colorado and is supported by Boulder, Chapel Haven, and Twin Peaks Adventist Churches.
