On December 5th, the Denver South Pathfinders went over to the Denver First church to serve lunch to the ACS volunteers. When we got there, the tables were already set up and ready for the food. All we needed then were the people. They all arrived shortly afterward and we wasted no time getting the food on the tables except wait for the prayer. We weren’t on our feet for very long, but it seemed like a decade. Then, I thought of the cooks who had been there since 7:00 a.m. We weren’t there for very long compared to them!
It was fun to serve the volunteers because they really seamed to enjoy it. I don’t now if you’ve ever felt this way, but if other people around you are happy, and you know it’s because of you, you just can’t help but feel happy too!
