Inter Mountain Adventist Academy Work Bee



Students of Intermountain Adventist Academy returned to an immaculate school as

the result of 65 volunteers who responded to a work bee prior to opening day. Volunteers, ages 8 to 80, from the three constituent churches “rolled up their sleeves” for this vigorous event.

Forty students at IAA are involved in classroom basic studies, but are also offered a variety of other learning interests--a computer lab outfitted with 31 computers donated by the City of Grand Junction and contributions from the school’s constituency; weekly art class taught by Randy May, a former GJ church “boy”; a Chimes group directed by Donna Raye Priest; a popular gymnastics program led by David Priest--the Priest’s have merged from retirement to share talents from their teaching days; and a vital music program taught by Dara Fubler.

With such a rich slate of educational opportunities, Principal Ed Harlan emphasizes “Look up--we want to see all our children there!”
