Wheatland holds Victorian Tea

On Sept 21, the ladies of the Wheatland SDA Church held their annual Victorian Tea for the ladies

of the community. The outreach program was well attended by 57 ladies and young girls. Many of the guest arrived dressed in clothing of the Victorian era. Beautiful hats adorn their well covered hair. Each table was covered with beautiful lace tablecloths. Beautiful china cups, saucers and pie plates awaited each guest. Tables are decorated to depict the "teas" of by gone days.

We emphasize that we all worship the same God. That He created us all special and loves each of us as His daughters. Several stories, with a spiritual emphases were given by Margaret Olson and Cynthia Pederson.

Cynthia Pederson led out in starting the begining of a Bible verse and the first lady or young girl who could finish the verse had her choice from the large display of Christian books. Bible Trivia was also a favorite and the first one answering got to pick from the selection of Christian books. We were pleased that so many of the young girls knew their Bible characters and have memorized scripture.

Karen Fetig, the Wyoming Women's Minisry leader was there to read the Virtuous Women's scripture found in Proverbs 31 and offered our opening prayer. At the closing of the day she told of the retreat that wold be held in June 2009 and invited all the ladies to attend. There were several who asked how they could get the information as they wanted to attend. Praise the Lord!
